20 People on What Mental Illness Has Taught Them
Whilst mental illness and poor mental health are sure to have seen us through some negative experiences, the lessons and strength you find during these times of crisis or despair actually offer some valuable lessons that allow you to feel more empathy, understanding and compassion during difficult times, which others whom are less in tune with their emotions may struggle with. We took to Instagram to ask 20 members of The Insecure Girls’ Club community the lessons they’re grateful mental illness has taught them, and the answers made us strangely grateful for our sometimes nervy, always anxious minds.
Here’s to finding comfort in the shared experiences of others so common in mental illness, and being a little kinder to our brains when we’re feeling wobbly.
